Olivier is a physicist and has first worked in scientific research on areas such as microfluidics, optics, and semiconductors applied to biological systems. He learned from this experience a good background in biology, including molecular biology, which naturally led him to treat topics at the boundary between physics and biology.
Olivier mainly handles portfolios that fall within the scope of physics, instrumentation, optics/photonics, semi-conductors, biophysics, and food industry.
His skills include patent drafting, patent procedures in France, Europe and abroad, IP strategy, IP portfolio management, technology intelligence, competitive intelligence, consultation and patent litigation.
He is used to do Oral Proceedings in front of the European Patent Office. He has experience in front of the Enlarged Board of Appeal of the European Patent Office.
Olivier is regularly in charge of negociating and drafting Industrial Property clauses in Consortium Agreements.
He is also used to assist bailiffs in counterfeit seizures.
Olivier is a member of the FICPI (International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys),
AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property),
EPI (Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office) and
CNCPI (French Institute of Patent & Trademark Attorneys)
Olivier is regularly involved in various universities and schools. He is in particular in charge of a course about the European Patent Convention at the University Panthéon Assas Paris II.
